Most of us don’t look like models and have perfect bodies.  But that’s ok, because being attractive and feeling good about yourself is an attitude.

We like our illusions

There are some ideas we’d rather go on believing and promoting, than to see the truth.  The world is more violent than ever, poverty is a growing problem, the neighbors are really bad people, people from X country are dangerous, I am a victim, this is going to be very difficult, etc. etc.

Some of us make a career or cause with a flawed or partially flawed idea as the root.  

We believe what we chose to believe – and these beliefs guide our life, actions and experience.

Personal victories

You didn’t eat the cake.  You ran around the block this evening. You spoke up.  You cleaned the garage. You made a public presentation.   

Personal leadership victories come before public ones.  

Are you externally or internally driven?

When we do things because others expect us to, it’s what we are supposed to do, we want to look good to others, or we want to have things, it may leave us feeling empty in the end.

But when we do things that we are internally motivated, driven or called to do, we’re likely to feel filled and serve our purpose for being here.  

Do you do things because you want to for you, or because you are pleasing others?

Credit card debt is free…

…if you pay it off each month.  If you don’t, and you just pay the minimum, you’ll be in debt forever and pay many times your charges in interest.  

Credit cards are useful when you don’t have cash on you or have a surprise necessity.  But when you use them as a long term loan, that’s big trouble for you.

If you have credit card debt, stop spending.  Stop shopping, stop eating out, stop movies and entertainment.  Spend that time earning more money and pay off your debt – it will be far cheaper for you that way.

If you can’t discipline yourself, you can’t blame the credit card company’s for the financial pain that awaits you.
