Aspiration is different than need
You need food, water, shelter and care when you are sick or injured. Everything else is a choice. What specifically do you desire? What are your aspirations? Writing them down forces you to clarity. Write now.
Your ARE in business
Even if you don't own a business, you should see yourself as being "in business," because you are. What we do at work is how we interact and make a contribution to the world. It's how we show up to others - be they co-workers, our managers, or customers. This…
The way of the master – part 3
At the end of life, it does not matter what you have, but rather what you have become in the attainment of your goals. What has the setting and pursuit of your goals made of you? Did you use more of your potential in service to others? Did you…
The way of the master – part 2
For one seeking to attain mastery of his craft, sport, or endeavor, there are no ordinary moments. Everything is always on the line. By behaving this way, the practice is elevated, which is what he knows will make him a master. Your practice; what you do when it's not gametime,…
The way of the master – part 1
For the master, the attainment of a goal is not the reason, nor the prize. It is the practice. The day in and day out practice and effort to use peak performance and experience as a baseline for tomorrow's practice.
"Forest Therapy"
I read about a therapist who takes her clients for a walk in the woods to help them reduce anxiety and stress. (She says she hopes that forest therapy will be covered by health insurance one day! Hard to make this stuff up!) Anyway...I was reading a great book called…
What's at your boundaries?
We can live inside our abilities and talents - but where do we define those boundaries? They are lines we have drawn in our minds, but are they real? No. They are not. The only way we can find out, is by pushing ourselves to those boundaries and finding out…
Character is your foundation
Character - the origins of the word mean "a mark left by a chisel." It's your foundation. Without it, you can't do much, because your progress in this world depends upon you interacting successfully with other people. And without character, they won't want to do that. Keep your word. Be…
Why am I doing this again?
In a book called "The Devil's Dictionary" it says that fanaticism is "redoubling your efforts long after your aim has been forgotten." So before we consider what we can do to be more productive, let's make sure we are going in the right direction. What are you trying to do?…
Are you in control of your life?
We are happy to the degree we are in control of our lives and the sequence of things that happen to us - an "internal locus of control". We are not happy to the degree we feel we are not in control of our lives - when we feel others…

I want to build a place where everyone knows their job, where they look forward to coming to work every day. I want to build something great! I want all of my area to know what we do and the good things we do for people every day. I want to be able to afford to leave the office. I want my family to be better off. I want to work less hours. I want to be able to create and effect change in my company and my community. I want to be respected by people because the life Iām leading is hard but also worth following.
I want to be independent.
I was told that going to college will get me the things that I need like food, health insurance, a home, a car, and an easier way of life due to financial stability.
I went to an all women’s college and we were taught that females could do it all, yet society pays women less than men–another struggle I must attempt to overcome.
I have dreams and goals and I want to do as much as possible on my own because I know I have it in me to be the leader of my life. Life doesn’t give handouts, at least not to everyone.
So, I graduated. Now what?
I worked hard, I worked at many different places, and I’m still working. But, I would like to see what I am working towards come true.
Some people are more capable to induce an emotional reaction or a process where my mind analizes the absorbed partial information and compares it to stored information and memories. Writting was hard before because I was disciplining myself to stay quiet but now I have to work on absorbing more from the surrounding and be more productive in recording the analysis on paper.
You can not figure someone out who is still working on mastering herself. Change is constant. I am not perfect but working on staying on a healthier more balanced route. Complications occur when my internal balance gets thrown off from thinking about how something would feel. There is no point in dreaming about action or the lack of it.
Lock up the dare devil or let it loose, I preffer putting it to sleep by singing a lullaby or massaging its back and scalp until it melts on the sheets.
