This is really important for you – and me.
"A man is not hurt so much by what happens as by his opinion of what happens." - Michel de Montaigne What story do you keep telling yourself about what happened to you?
Living your making will make your living
Not everyone is the same. Thank goodness. With great wisdom, we are all made a little or a lot different. We don't all get good grades on a standardized test - but a standardized test omits so many talents and skills that are useful to one making a living and…
Are you being programmed?
"We don't have to open ourselves to be programmed. We are inherently programmable." We send kids to school to soak in what the teacher says, accept it, and not argue if it is true or not. Our brains accept information, and our beliefs and operating system changes based on what…
Who do you want to be a hero to?
When you focus on being a hero to someone, you don't worry about what you are going to get out of the relationship. You focus on what you are going to do for the other person - what results you want to help them get. If you help people get…
“Health lies in action”
"Health lies in action, and so it graces youth. To be busy is the secret of grace, and half the secret of content. Let us ask the gods not for possessions, but for things to do; Happiness is in making things rather than in consuming them." - Will Durant This…
Noble Purpose
We started talking about living for something beyond yourself yesterday. Here's an idea that I think is important. You don't find your real purpose by sitting around thinking about it. You don't even find it by someone else telling you what it should be. You discover it by doing things,…

The secret to happiness
"The secret to happiness is freedom. The secret to freedom is courage." - Thucydides If you do not have the courage to learn new things, you cannot be free. If you do not have the courage to do what is hard and right, rather than what is easy, you cannot…
“Doing Good”
"If you're going to be remebered after you're gone, it will be the result not from being good, but from doing good." - Dr. Mardy Grothe "The happiest people I know are people who don't even think about being happy. They just think about being good neighbors, good people. And…

“We suffer more often in imagination than in reality” –
Seneca
It all happened to make me who I am today and who I will be tomorrow. Just got to have faith and move forward.
I am also thankful for Scott Booth!
I love what Benjamin said above! That’s how I feel as well. I tell myself is that this is all somehow good for me or someone else and we simply have to find or see the good in it! With a little bit of practice it’s not hard to see the good and it makes for a much more positive outlook on life!
Good Morning from Virginia!!
Choose to be a victim or choose to be a success story! It’s all up to you! For me, I care how people perceive me. I want them to see a person that can go through anything and come out victorious because of it.
