Fostering Great Teamwork

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Getting good people to work at your company is one thing.

But getting them to work together well is another.

People that do not know each other will not trust each other.

Do they know each other?  What can you do to get them to know each other better?  (i.e. – schedule lunches where they sit at the same table.)

Do they know what each other’s jobs are and how they hand their work off to internal customers?

Have they trained together?  Do they talk to each other?

You can have 10 people doing 6 units of work with 5 units of aggravation and friction, or have 10 people doing 15 units of work with zero units of friction.

Get the people you have to want to help each other and set each other up for productivity and success.

Well said! The only way to do that is by interacting with each other. In our company in Indy, that starts with me. I highly recommend M.B.W.A. You’d be surprised at what, and who you get to know… Hey Chicago!

Amen. Teamwork now and forever.
Go, Jim!
