"I can" is empowering

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Saying “I can’t” is disempowering.

Your mind is listening to what you say, and it believes it.

What have you been saying you can’t do?

I enjoy reading Think Daily every morning but I really like the things you’re grateful for. Hot Water, for instance, is a wonderful thing. I’ve been without it, briefly, from time to time and am so happy when it comes back on. Enjoy the weekend.

I’ve watched all three! Very nicely done!

I found my precious 2 and a half year old grandson regularly proclaiming “I can’t” when he is “stuck” with something and can’t move forward. My immediate & positive response of “you can” with a little bit to guidance on how to solve the problem lights up his face and gets him moving forward positively. It is amazing how he now shows off the “work around” that previously would have make him utter those negative words. Let us put the “I can” into others lives if they struggle to believe in themselves. Thanks Larry for being that person for me!
