Blaming is an excuse

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Blaming anyone or anything besides the person in the mirror relieves you of your duty to do better.

This is hard to hear for the person who believes his blaming is legitimate.  But when you blame, you give your power to get better away by saying “they are responsible for this area of my life”.

Are you blaming anyone?

Patrick O'Toole

We have to learn to be accountable for the good AND the bad! Everyone wants credit for success, no one wants to own up to failure. If you’re blaming others for your faults/failures, you’re lying to yourself! Stop lying to yourself, own your truth and grow as a person!

Phillip

Hi Larry,
I don’t agree fully with you on this one:
“If you’re blaming others for your faults/failures, you’re lying to yourself!” 100% true. Grab every opportunity that you can to grow and improve.

BUT, if someone else is to blame then: that failure is not on you to own. People who say ‘the first bit of junk that comes into their brain’ expecting to get them out of been responsible, are the worst case of deceitfulness.
