Wasting time well

The worst use of time is to do things well that ought not be done at all.

Do you do that?

You can’t be there, unless you stop being here.

You can’t be the person you want to be and the person you are now at the same time.

Have the courage to step out of the person that you are, in favor of the person you could be.

Who do you want to be?

Listening is caring

When you listen to others you are showing you care.  It says you value the other person.

When you don’t listen, you are showing you don’t care.

Who do you need to listen to today?

Believe in yourself

Do you believe you are capable of having a great life?

You should, because you are.

Friends?

What’s more important – your destiny, or hanging out with people who are going nowhere (or nowhere you want to be)?

Who do you have around you?  Are they going to help you be the person you want to be?

Be what you are

You gotta’ be what God made you to be; not what someone else expects you to be.

When you are being you, you feel most comfortable, you’ll perform better and be happier.

On human tragedy…

I guess if I rise above it, I can see that all this is predictable.  Our frailties, our weaknesses, our social interactions – and there are so many of us.

Yet being human is filled with soaring triumphs and devastating tragedies, defined by our own variable emotional interpretations.

Still, it’s better than being an avacado.

I’m glad I’m human.

One thing leads to another

Go somewhere new, and meet someone new, and talk about something new, then experience something new, then get intererested in something new, and then apply what you learned to something old, to create something new, and on and on it goes…  

Pretty soon, you’re living a pretty interesting life! 

What new thing, person or place will you try today?

What you think about gets magnified

Be careful what you chose to put your attention on – because it will grow.

Should you focus on what you WANT then?

What do you want today?

Freedom and rules

Freedom and rules don’t quite go well together.  From our government, our employer, and places we shop, man likes to control other men given the chance.  The more rules there are, the less trust is shown and the less free we feel.

When you became leader at the PTA or Elks Club or of a classroom, were rules your instrument of control?
