Sell, or be sold

A sale is made in every exchange of ideas.  Either someone is selling you that it’s a good idea, or you are selling them on the idea it’s not.  Either they are convincing you things are bad, or you are convincing them they are good.  Either they are convincing you to go to this restaurant, or you are convincing them to go somewhere else.

How persuasive are you?  Do you get your way more or less often? 

If anyone can do it…

…then ANY ONE can do it.  

The question is – “Will YOU?”

Greek Tragedy

What’s happening in Greece should be another example of how socialism does not work.  Something for nothing….over regulation…the modern effect of unions…and most who are receivers of the system voting for no change.  When you run out of other people’s money it’s over, and the standard of living goes into a fast decline for everyone.  As civil unrest follows, the government becomes much more authoritarian to keep order, and freedom spirals downward.  

No economic success; no freedom.

Here in the US we have long since taken to spending borrowed money to make ourselves comfortable.  But here we can borrow even more money and we can print money – unlike Greece.

Do you think we should balance our budget every year at all government levels?

Is freedom contingent upon being responsible with money both personally and as groups?

Killing fear

What are you afraid to do?  What do you procrastinate because you don’t like it? 

That’s what you have to do.  Take massive action – a flurry of action on the thing you are afraid of.  Stay in motion attacking what you fear – and fear doesn’t stand a chance against you.

What will it be?  Go after it!

Go after it today!

Days are the units years are made of.  If you want to accomplish your goals, you have to take massive action – today.

No excuses, kick butt, and get it done!

Lawlessness breeds more lawlessness

Once a people or government decide to normalize one form of lawbreaking, other forms of lawlessness will follow until finally the rule of law itself is in profound jeopardy.

Is it legal, or illegal?

Your habits become your reputation

 – and what people think of you is how they will treat you, what opportunities will be presented to you, and will lead to where you end up.

What are the effects of your habits on how people treat you?

What you'll be good at –

What do you love?  What are you very interested in?  

You should pursue it, because if you are very interested in it or love it, you’ll be good at it.

The world only spins forward

What happened yesterday only carries the meaning you made out of it.  Was it good?  Was it bad, helpful, or useful?  

Take what helps from your past, and leave the rest.  It’s over.  

Today is a new day and you are a new person.

What are you doing and where are you going NOW?

Law over violence, freedom over power

We all need the rule of law and its enforcement in our community to avoid being robbed (or worse) by men who feel they can get ahead by using their darker natures.  But we don’t need a ruling body with excessive power controlling too much of our peaceful activities.

It’s a balance that our government was originally designed for, and in large measure it works when not distorted or ignored.  

Let us pay attention to this balance.
