So let’s say you are “doing the best you know how”, and it’s not yielding such great results.
You want more and better.
Let’s say you are humble enough to learn. Humility, after all, is a requirement for change.
And let’s say you learn a new way, new ideas, new beliefs. But the new way conflicts with the old.
They cannot exist at the same time.
Your ego does not want to risk something new, looking foolish, or failure – even if what you are doing now is not working so well.
You have a problem. You must decide and fix it before you default back to your old self, because if you don’t, that is what will happen.
Think about how you came to learn the “old way” of thinking and believing. Understand you were doing your best picking up these ideas, but they no longer serve you and where you want to be. Know that holding on to the old you holds you back. See it as bad for you.
Study the new way and keep it in front of you until it becomes a habit of being and thinking.
Fake it until you ARE it.
Delete the old programming in favor of new programming that gets you where you want to be.
