Being in the middle sucks.
Not making a clear decision one way or another is a conflicting uncomfortable and confusing place for you and for your employees.
Sometimes we are just afraid of losing or making the wrong decision.
But leaders are paid to make decisions.
The best decision is the right decision. The second-best decision is the wrong decision. The worst decision is no decision.
Get all the information you can. Include doing the right thing by people in your decision, not just money.
Write out the choices clearly on paper or a white board. Include smart people in your decision making. Make it ok for them to say what they really feel
Weigh the options, listen to your heart and your intuition (that is screaming at you), and make the clear call.
Announce the decision (path, choice, strategy) and GO!
Clarity is empowering!
