Generosity

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Feeling good when helping others is something we are born with.  That alone should tell us that we are supposed to do it.

We can give our time, our ear, our caring, our effort, and if we are able – our money.

Here are some thoughts on the subject.

“Generosity lies less in giving much than in giving at the right moment.” – Jean De La Bruyere

“That’s what I consider true generosity.  You give your all and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing.” – Simone De Beauvoir

“Generosity makes at least two people feel good.” Karen Casey

“Generosity is luck going in the opposite direction, away from you.  If you’re generous to someone, if you do something to help him out, you are in effect making hum lucky.  This is important.  It’s like inviting yourself into a community of good fortune.” – Twyla Tharpe
