Earned is a great word. I’m so sick of hearing “deserve”, or “entitled”. I also don’t like the phrase “you owe it to yourself”. These are all selfish attributes. Earned means that you did something for someone else first before you get anything for yourself. That’s the way it’s supposed to work.
