"The chosen ones"

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Particularly in class rivalry, it’s easy for some to think that some people are “chosen” for a better life. Certainly, if a couple was successful they will do all they can to help their children be successful as well. (One thing they cannot give their kids is desperation, which is a key ingredient of becoming successful!)

But the idea of being “chosen” by others I think is misplaced. What matters most is that you are chosen by YOU. You must believe in your ability to make your dreams come true. (These dreams that may be different than others’ dreams.) And you must believe it so much that you have the faith to pursue these dreams and take action each day toward them, and enduring setbacks that surely will come in such pursuit.

If you don’t choose you, there is nothing anyone else can do for you.

Do you choose you?

Andrea

I wear many hats simultaneously to the point that sometimes I do not even know which me is the best to put first.

What I need and what I want sometimes align other times I have to block the disturbing thoughts and just focus on making the most of every situation and the present moment.

I know I made the right choice when I can sleep through the night and I wake up refreshed with a big smile on my face.
