Learning to be a good human

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

We weren’t born with an instruction manual. We are emotional creatures and we have dark and light in us. We must learn how to minimize and tame the dark and bring out and expand the light.

Jealousy, envy, hate and fear were necessary 5,000 years ago when resources were scarce and daily survival was priority number one. But we have changed our world to one where those emotions are not nearly as useful as they were to our distant ancestors.

We will mess up; it’s part of learning. But we should get back on track and be a better human right away.

Strive for the light.

Larry, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. I love what you do for humanity in general, and the support you give your friends and clients.
Of the 99% of things that I’ve always agreed with you, I’m going to take exception to one statement.
God, our Creator, and our loving heavenly father, has provided the Bible as an instruction manual. When we follow his guidelines we usually have parents to help us learn how to apply it, and our God-given Conscience also helps us learn how to take unfailing Bible principles in applying them to our own personality and our situation in life so that we will become the kind of person, that we want to be, but more importantly the kind of person God would want us to be.

Don’t let anyone take your power! Control your power and don’t give it away. Lesson learned !

But what if I was created to be Wicked? Without dark we wouldnt know about or appreciate the light, therefore dark is good, and light is bad, good is bad and bad is good, yin and yang – results in the creation of harmony.
