Confidence comes from competence

We all want to feel confident.  But when we have never done something, or not enough, we are not confident.

Try – develop competence – become confident.

From an education perspective, I think this is a really interesting thought. We cannot help children/adults gain confidence, but we can help them gain competence. In helping someone gain competence, their confidence will grow. Nothing demonstrate more joy that a child declaring, “I did it!!” Why?
