Montreal!

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

My wife Wendy and I recently visited Montreal, Quebec for a few days.  What a city!  We loved it!

It’s like Europe, but closer, and you don’t have to speak French. We found the people to be wonderful!  It has an easy vibe, it’s quiet for a big city, and it’s old and charming. Stay in the old section of the city (and don’t go in winter).

Put it on your bucket list for sure. Six hour drive from New York City. It took me 52 years to visit, and I wish I had gone sooner!

Montreal!  Check it out!

Never been there ( or many other places :)) I’ll make note of this for a spring family trip !

I agree Montreal is a beautiful City – even in Winter time. However, don’t miss out Quebec City. It’s at least as beautiful as Montreal. They do have a waterfall higher than the Niagara Falls, and a beautiful old historic center.

Quebec City is another great one. Montreal is now on my list, thanks Larry!

Visit the city when the Formula 1 race takes over! It’s an amazing experience that takes over the island/casino and the entire city is electric, it is sometime in June/July. Visited every summer for a few years, and have fond memories of that beautiful city.

Thank you for the innspiration and the quote.

We love big cities, we love to visit, but our B&B is not in a big city, and for those wanting to get away from the cities, we offer this:

My 1st VP of Sales Job was with Kingsway Transport in St Laurent, a suburb of Montreal.Although my office was U.S. based, I traveled to Montreal monthly for meetings. My wife and I were treated like “Royalty” whether we were there for business or pleasure. We even attended the Olympics in Montreal in 1976 when we were in college. What a great city of culture, night life, fine food and GREAT people!

It was great having you and Wendy in Montreal. We really enjoyed your visit.
Yes indeed, it’s a beautiful city. It’s a welcoming city and we love everybody to come and visit.
Next time Larry we meet in Quebec City. True, it’s a city not to miss. As a tourist you will have no problem speaking only English. In any way you have a French speaking guide!
