What is “Libertarian”?

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

You probably know what Democrats and Republicans are.  There was a time when I didn’t know what libertarian was.  It sounded like “liberal”.  (In the rest of the world the words “classic liberal” means what “libertarian” means here in the US.)

Libertarians believe in individual freedom, free markets, limited government, peace, and personal responsibility. It’s not strange. Many see it as an alternative to left or right that feels comfortable against their own ideas.  If you were interested you can easily look up more.

I thought I’d use Think Daily to tell people about it, because most people have no idea.  I promise not to make Think Daily a political forum.  Think Daily is about ideas and you – and many important ideas also happen to be political topics.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I have been reading more about libertarians lately simply because I am frustrated with the results both parties have been delivering to us as “the people”.

Limited Government and free markets based on the constitution what a novel idea! Maybe (we) as a country should try it, its worked before!

Individual freedom and individual responsibility are a privilege and honor to have each day. I can’t think of a better daily thought to have and to be thankful for it!

Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks Larry, I have gotten more involved with politics in the year and there is much to learn and educate folks about. You know that the Gallop Polls- polled both parties and 95% of both parties agreed on issues in the survey! I spent time with Congressman Scott Tipton in Aspen Friday eve and he is a down to earth hard working gentleman. I am proud to have him represent the state of Colorado. One person can make a difference, NOW.
