Bad, stupid and slothful behavior has negative consequences. It should. It’s the universe giving a person feedback – “stop doing that”.
If lawmakers relieve us from this feedback, (bail out corporations, allow people to declare bankruptcy and walk away (personal bailouts), forgive mortgages and student loans, pay people on welfare the same amount of money that the average working person makes, pay farmers and companies to produce things people don’t want (enough to pay for) we will continue to do stupid things.
Let stupid hurt the stupid, not the rest of us, and we’ll get less stupid in a hurry.

Larry, its amazing to me that hubris, greed, hunger for power rule our political leaders with no consequence. The electorate has blissfully ignored this degeneration of our culture and society while the politicians have feathered their nests and the nests of their friends during this inattention. All it takes is promising free benefits to humans, who are flawed enough to accept those benefits while ignoring their consciences. I’m not even sure many people today have the moral compass to guide their conscience, and that is a sad commentary on where we are in this great country.
