We are the world

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Our “world” (block, community, city, nation) is the sum of the actions of its individual citizens.  To work on the world, is to work on us.  To work on us is to work on the world.

If each citizen was loving, productive, responsible, educated, and trustworthy – how bad could the world be?

How great WOULD it be?

Both your 9/5 and 9/6 suggestions are right on! I have passed them on to our children and siblings. Thank you. If our country and our govenment systems were not being run by an ineptocracy (which is due to our own fault), we would be more likely to all be more loving, productive, responsible, educated, and trustworthy.

“Imagine a culture in which everything is geared toward helping all individuals become the best human beings they can be; in which individuals are driven to devoting their lives to becoming enlightened by the natural flood of compassion for others that arises from thwir wisdom.”

After the Think Daily live semminar I was pulled to a book sitting on my shelf called Inner Revolution by Robert Thurman. You left your imprint on me and I thought about you as I read it. I thought about you because you are more enlightened than many people I met before.

I also checked out Echart Tolle’s The Power of Now and A New Earth. Those two I never finished because Paulo Coelho and my attempts to expand my vocabulary got priority.
