Screwed up childhood

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

My parents got divorced.  I had no father.  She left us.  He died.  I got beat up.  The accident happened.  We had no money…

What we need to know is that 85% of adults today had a less than ideal “screwed up childhood”.  We are no different.  You aren’t responsible for your childhood, but you are responsible for your adulthood.

What are you doing now that you are in charge?

It’s never too late to have a happy childhood I can look back at my childhood and either think it was terrible or choose to see it as the greatest gift I was given Which thoughts serve me in a nourishing way Being grateful is the best possible place for me to start Thanks Larry have a great day

We have two brothers adopted from the foster system at 7 and 5 (they are now 20 and 18). Although their early scars ran deep (death, drug abuse, abandonment), we remind them that this does not define them and that they are here to succeed and help others. They are both in community college and doing well 🙂

I added their names to your Think Daily blog list — thanks, Larry!
