Hello Mr. (or Ms.) President
You are the president of your own company with one employee. How's business?
A right to your own life
We all have a right to our own life - free to act in our own judgement, for our own goals, by our own voluntary, uncoerced choice. Our rights must pose no obligation on our neighbors except to abstain from voilating our rights. We have a right to free action.…
Equilibrium
In the remote mountains of Colombia, indigenous people have two poles rising from their huts. They represent the dual forces they see throughout the universe and consider their responsibility to keep in balance: spirit and matter, outside and inside, male and female, creation and destruction. Yes....
"You may be right"
Keep an open mind for opposing opinions. This way you may learn something, you can be corrected when you are wrong, and you won't lose the listening of those you are trying to persuade. To my dissenters - "you may be right". (And I mean it).
Write your own obituary
What would it say about you? What would it say you have done? What mark have you made? How was the world better for you having been here? Go ahead, write it. And when it comes time for the real one, will it be different?
Running for high office?
In today's world, our best and brightest consider the "doctrine of mutually assured humiliation" before running. Why put you and your family through such brutal attacks as the other side spins, twists, and outright lies? True, we need to know what our leaders are all about. But there are lines…
"A fear free life"
Psychologically and emotionally, a fear free life is what we want. In order to get it, we need the confidence that comes with knowledge. Hearsay, gossip and "news programs" aren't going to be the kind of knowledge we need. What are you afraid of? Learn all you can about it.
Advice for young (or old) unemployed workers
No work is beneath you. If you can't get your "ideal" job, take any job, and start there. Show that you can do it very well, be proactive, get you work done faster than expected, and ask what else you can do to help the organization excel and move forward.…

Why don’t more people understand this?
Very well said. Unfortunately way too many people don’t get this.
Larry- you are spot on……
So simple, so true, but yet so misunderstood. Keep up the good work. We enjoy your emails.
Hey Larry!
Right On! The people that don’t get it are the people on the side lines of life, watching other people on the playing field of life, earning their rewards, and the sideliners saying “I want what you have…but I don’t want to work for it because you owe it me” You can’t win if you don’t play. ….
Really enjoying your blogs. ..Have a great day!
Mary and Mark
Accepting and agreeing with what you’ve said brings with it responsibility and accountability. We have come to a point in our American society where many have not been taught or are unwilling or don’t know how to accept responsibility or be accountable. Our government has fostered a dependency / victim / “you owe me” / “class envy” mentality that many parents have passed on to their children. “We” need to pray and work with our children and those around us and “flush out” and replace the wrong thinkers and doers in government to break this deadly cycle and regain our freedom and liberty…indeed, our very soul.
But we’re not a mass of free-roaming individuals — we’re a community. In the same way that we’ve all agreed to pitch in to build roads, maintain a government, fund an army, and provide libraries to the public, we’ve also decided, democratically or through elected leaders, that some services are also the decent, best option for the greater good of our community, and we went with it accordingly.
Larry,
Perfectly said. We shared this one with our children over dinner last night. Much thought-filled conversation that consisted mostly of undoing what they are being fed by the mainstream media.
Thank you for the jumping off point!
To comment to what you are saying. what are rights then? theres always going to be a obligation on someone else to provide them. (house, car, job) all i can say is you are obligated to provide for yourself. But how? with out depending on someone else.
