Dear Think Daily Community,  I have never asked you for anything.  Now I am.  Click on the link below to the news article.  Sandra Weiler was born with severe cerebal palsy.  This didn’t stop her from getting a college education, becoming a teacher, and opening her own day care business.  She bought her own house in 1998.  She is an inspriation to the world; a woman who never gave in.

Things have gotten more difficult.  Her condition has deteriorated.  She battled cancer for six years – and beat it!  She is in a wheelchair now, but continues to work as much as she can. She got behind on her mortgage and her bank evicted her from her home.  She has a temporary reprieve – for now.  Now is the time.  She needs our help.

I am asking you to get your checkbook and write a check to “Sandra Weiler” and send it to me, Larry Janesky, 60 Silvermine Road, Seymour CT 06483.  Something.  Anything.  And if you don’t have any money yourself, tell the story to a friend who does, and have them write a check and mail it to me.  I will present the money to her attorney who has a trust fund set up to take care of this.  

Let’s not just make a payment – let’s try to pay this off for her so she never has to worry about a mortgage payment again. Her balance is over $150,000 – but there are 3461 of us – and we all have friends!  Wouldn’t that be something?!  I will write the biggest check.  Let’s have the Think Daily Community come together for this.  Act today so we can have all the checks in within 7 days from today.

What’s in you?

Applied Knowledge or Primitive Man

You flip the switch and the lights come on so you can see after dark.  You don’t know how it works; it just does.  You open the refrigerator door and inside is meat and cheese, even though you know nothing about electricity, refrigeration, hunting or farming.  You turn the key and the engine comes to life so you can travel long distances over roads and bridges you don’t know how to build.

Producers used specialized applied knowledge to create useful things for others.  What do you produce for others that they can use even though they don’t know how it works or how do it themselves?

What knowledge do you possess and apply?

Theaters of the mind

What movie has your imagination made up and run over and over that hasn’t actually happened?

Your mind and body will react to all of that as if it was real, and you will act in a manner to make it real, or at least real to you.

Should you stop running that movie? How about creating a new one that represents reality or what you want to be reality?

Failing is not failure

Making mistakes is how we learn best.  If you make a mistake, know that it is part of learning and getting better.  Just make sure you aren’t ignoring the lessons and making the same mistakes over and over again.

Vigilant, Active and Brave

We must be vigilant in identifying threats to our freedom. The biggest threats are within our own government who would curtail our freedoms under the pretense of taking care of us. America’s founders knew that it was the nature of man for this to happen 230 years ago.  

We must be active in calling it what it is, and we must be brave in the defense of what is the greatest American invention – freedom.
