Television is filled with media who scours the earth for things for us to feel bad about, and with murder, violence, deceit and sarcasm that passes for “entertainment” – all beamed right into your home.

Is that what we want?

Is that what YOU want?

When the student is ready…

…the teacher will appear.

There's no such thing as accidents

Accept this for a moment (because it is true) and think – why did “that” happen?

What was the universe saying?  What plan was unfolding as it should have?

See AND act

If you have a dream but don’t act, you’re just a dreamer.

If you are taking all kinds of action but don’t know where you are really trying to go or what you are trying to accomplish, you’ll be busy but never get anywhere.

You have to have a vision of where you are going or what you are trying to accomplish long term, AND take action each day towards that goal.

Do you have a vision AND take action towards it?

Seize small opportunities

Don’t wait for a “big chance” to come along.  Turn everyday situations into opportunities for extraordinary action/service on your part.  

If you keep doing the small things really well, your big chance will come. 

Steer your ship

Where do you want to be a year from now?

What do you have to do today to ensure you get there?

Go in peace

We can’t get angry enough to end violence everywhere – or anywhere.

Even when some others are not, go in peace.

Sell, or be sold

A sale is made in every exchange of ideas.  Either someone is selling you that it’s a good idea, or you are selling them on the idea it’s not.  Either they are convincing you things are bad, or you are convincing them they are good.  Either they are convincing you to go to this restaurant, or you are convincing them to go somewhere else.

How persuasive are you?  Do you get your way more or less often? 

If anyone can do it…

…then ANY ONE can do it.  

The question is – “Will YOU?”

Greek Tragedy

What’s happening in Greece should be another example of how socialism does not work.  Something for nothing….over regulation…the modern effect of unions…and most who are receivers of the system voting for no change.  When you run out of other people’s money it’s over, and the standard of living goes into a fast decline for everyone.  As civil unrest follows, the government becomes much more authoritarian to keep order, and freedom spirals downward.  

No economic success; no freedom.

Here in the US we have long since taken to spending borrowed money to make ourselves comfortable.  But here we can borrow even more money and we can print money – unlike Greece.

Do you think we should balance our budget every year at all government levels?

Is freedom contingent upon being responsible with money both personally and as groups?
