The brain releases dopamine in pursuit, not in possession.
When we are in full pursuit of what we want, we are focused and engaged and feel alive.
Other pains and troubles fade away, eclipsed by absorption into the quest.
This is why when we finally achieve a goal, we aren’t satisfied for long, and we look for a new one.
So be it.
Let’s go.
What are you in pursuit of now?
I’m in pursuit of my better self. My goal, to be continually better than I was yesterday. To do great things we must first be a great person.
I am also grateful for Will Ryder!
And I you, Sir!
Love from Florida, everyone, where Larry started a new chapter in my life. It’s been a very, very good read thus far, and I cannot say “Thank You” enough! (But I won’t ever stop trying!)
