Chat GPT prompts I’ve used recently

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

I do not claim to be the most advanced user of AI.  But I know some people who do not use it at all.  They will be left behind I think.

Here are some things I have used it for lately.

My scissor lift is not working.  It did not seem to be charging. I know nothing about fixing it. I take a photo of the lift, and copy it into ChatGPT. I tell it what the problem is. It tells me what to check.  Sure enough, it is exactly right!  In ten minutes, I fix it and it works again.  This saved me a call to the service center and a lot of waiting and I was able to do the work I needed to do with the lift right away.

I bought an electric golf cart that had been converted to a Lithium batttery.  Two days later, it would not move.  It showed the battery was dead when I had just charged it.  Error code.  Again, I took a photo of the cart, copied it in and described the problem.  It told me what the issue was.

I have to make sure my mechanics are using it!

“Please make a map for me with rings around Seymour, CT, at 50 miles away, 100 miles away, and 150 miles away.”  Boom – done.

“Can you teach me Spanish?”  “Of course,” it says.  I ask it how to say a phrase.  It tells me.  I repeat it back.  It corrects my accent on certain syllables.  I am talking to a free private language instructor!

I load a photo of my grandaughter sitting in a pumpkin with her legs hanging out two holes we cut in it.  She is cold and not happy.  “Can you make this baby smiling and put her in a classic fall scene with hay and cornstalks and maybe a chicken in the background?”  Done.

Please make an image of a raccoon driving a UTV in the Baja 1000 race.  Whatever!  Boom, done!

It’s always friendly, never gets tired, and never judges me. lol!

If you are holding out on using ChatGPT, Claude, GROK or Gemini, jump in!  It’s easy.  Ask it anything.  The worst that can happen is it tells you it cannot do that.

AW! Beautiful baby!!!! I recently used AI to help me fix an issue I was having on a non-profit website I maintain. It saved money by not having to hire an expert, and I learned something! win/win! P.S. I always thank AI for making me look good :).

Here is my AI Prompt – i am a big Larry Janesky fan. Can you do an alert and let me know anytime there is new material or content from him? Podcasts, video, you tube, TED talks, etc.

I replaced our expensive ERP software that we were paying a lot of money each month for and it was missing many features we needed, so we had to use 3 other softwares as well. So, I built our own, in-house, using Claude Code. It is amazing – if you have a thought, it builds it!! It’s saving us so much money, but more than that, it’s made us so much more efficient – all staff are using our new system. I’m now currently modifying it to be re-sold to other businesses like ours.

Looks like I will be one of the humans “left behind” by not using it.

We use it in our business to do mundane tasks that would take a person a very long time to do and where a person would likely make a mistake. For instance we just changed e-mail systems and needed to setup Labels for all of our customers. Our Claude AI is tied to our Quickbooks, JobTread project management and our new e-mail service. I was on the phone with our IT guy and told him to use Claude to create a Label for every customer we have In JobTread and post those labels in our e-mail program. I further told him I wanted the format to be “Last Name – Address”. Before we were done with our phone call Claude was done with the task. It performed the process flawlessly and it saved days of time compared to having a data entry clerk do it. For these mindless tasks I like “AI” (it’s actually super-computing). However, don’t trust it to always give good answers to questions. It truly only knows consensus and if you are looking for an answer outside of the normal realm of knowledge then you might be disappointed.
