Hard things first

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

The task you keep avoiding (because other things come up each day) is charging you interest.

Difficult conversations and uncomfortable decisions become heavier when we postpone them.

Courage early in the day can free you for anything that follows.

I do the hard things first.  Often, they are the “legacy projects” that will make tomorrow better.

I save the afternoon for the easy calls, meetings, and transactional stuff.

Is there something important you have been putting off because you “don’t have time”?

And if you wake up and realize you have to eat two frogs today; eat the big one first. I love the second sentence of this post. I’m going to use that.

I meant the 3rd sentence actually – even though they are all good!

Years and years ago, “Eat the Frog” is the second “self improvement” book I ever read. Right after “Who Moved My Cheese”. To this day, both are a couple of my favorite reads. I use the phrase “Eat the Frog” a lot!!!!
