You don’t talk yourself into confidence – you build it with action.
You can’t sit on the couch and repeat affirmations until you believe in yourself.
You build belief by going out there and trying and being imperfect and trying again and again until you get it.
Work off faith, or desperation, or ignorance or whatever you need to in the beginning.
When you get your ass kicked and stick in there and finally overcome / get it right / win / master it, then you really have belief and confidence in yourself.
Action and persistence builds confidence and belief.
When persistence and “belief” turn into persistence and belief.

As someone who is never satisfied with accomplishments, it’s easy to forget all of the things you have conquered. Having the ability to go back and reflect on those wins and losses changed my life.

I believe perseverance is a big part of the confidence equation. You can’t have one without the other.
We can’t be afraid to fail as long as we learn from it. I’ve even used failure as a metric for my personal development, if I haven’t failed at something recently then it’s because I’m not trying new or challenging tasks. Keep falling forward.

When I started my business by putting up signs on the street I was very scared and worried about If I could do it. Also teaching my first spanish lessons. After a couple years of hard working, ups and downs can I say that I have my own small academy in Málaga (Spain), with more self confidence and still ambition to create new businesses.
