“If you’re going to be remebered after you’re gone, it will be the result not from being good, but from doing good.” – Dr. Mardy Grothe
“The happiest people I know are people who don’t even think about being happy. They just think about being good neighbors, good people. And then happiness sort of smeaks in the back window while they’re busy doing good.” – Harold Kusher
“Do not run after happiness, but seek to do good, and you will find that happiness will run after you.” – James Freeman Clarke
I’ve heard people say, “I don’t care what people think about me, or I could care less what people think about me”. Show me a person that says that, and I’ll show you a person with no moral compass. I care what people think about me, and I care for people. I think that’s why I don’t have employee turnover like a lot of other companies do.
Those who do good find purpose in every day. Often times the good you do will go uncelebrated or even unnoticed, but the change it will have is all that matters. Once you have found this, happiness becomes very simple.
This should be taught and repeated often in public schools.
