Changing your life – What are you glad you did in the past?

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Think about it.  What significant “moves”, decisions, trips, discussions, or actions have you taken in the past that you are so glad you did?

Everyone has decisions that lead to great experiences, a better path, a great outcome, or something big in their life.  What were they for you?.

Well there is more of those decisions to make!

In the end, people will regret the things they did NOT do, far more than the things they did.

Become the person your future thanks you for.

Here are a few for me –

I am glad I sent a little postcard from Builder magazine back to find out more about something in 1986.  Changed my whole life.

I’m glad I said “yes” to my friend Franz Froelich in California when he said “Hey we should get a group of guys together and go riding on a tour in Baja; my neighbor Chris Haines does these tours”.  Changed my life.

I’m glad I read this little book from A.L. Williams back in 1988 called “Common Sense”.  I learned about compound interest.

I’m glad I bought my brother Rick’s dirt bike in 1997.  Changed my life.

I’m glad I said yes when my son Tanner suggested we race in Baja.  Changed my life.

I’m glad I bought all the empty property in the commercial park my first building was located in back in 2000-2003.

I’m glad I learned how to sell like an expert.

I’m glad I started writing Think Daily in 2009.  It has made me better and expanded my network!

What decisions have you made that you are glad you did?

What decisions are still to be made that you will thank yourself for?

Chris

I’m glad I decided to train for and compete in a Spartan race in 2012-13. It changed my whole life.

About a year and a half ago I picked up Eckhart Tolle’s book “The power of now” at a Goodwill store knowing nothing about the author or the book. I am pretty sure it cost me about $2 but the way the book changed my perspective and enlightened me to so many simple things I was missing, it was priceless.
Still comes second though to every time I decided to get back up.

Happy Monday!

I am glad I joined the real estate coaching system I’ve been involved in since 2018. At the time, it was a big stretch to pay for, and it has paid for itself many times now.

• I’m glad to have accidentally found the Boy Scouts when I was 12 and joined right away.
• I’m glad I took a leap of faith in myself in 2005 to leave my job to take over The Drying Company.
• I’m glad to have taken that free DES lead that lead to a discover day that lead with an incredible relationship with CN.

So many more things that changed the course of my life. Damn….I’m so grateful.

Betty

When I was 9 years old, I’m so glad God saved my soul.

Aunt Donna

Glad I chose nursing as an occupation back in the 60’s. Not much was open to women at the time, but nursing jobs were available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Very flexible when raising a family. Also- I never had to apply for a job. I was always recruited. By the way, my guidance counselor in High School said, “Do you want to be a teacher, a nurse, or a secretary.” What if he said, “Do you want to be a doctor, a lawyer, or a financier?” Oh well, I had a great career.

I am so glad I decided to install central air in my house 5 – 8 years ago. It was extremely expensive but I would not have been able to breathe had I not.

tom matthews

Too many to list here, but I’m grateful for all of them because they helped establish fantastic and fulfilling relationships.

Michael Smith

I glad I started reading think daily back in 2018. Changed my life. In return I share with others. Compound Interest.

Renee Daconto

I appreciate this post as it is helpful to reflect on what choices change people’s lives. I am glad I went to college for accounting. I am glad I moved to Virginia recently. I am glad I had three children. Lastly I am glad I married Mark Daconto.

I’m glad I was a “computer geek” when I was a kid. It gave me a serious leg up on the competition in terms of business technology.
I’m glad I was allowed to work with my dad from a very young age, and glad I paid attention. My number of years of experience exceed anyone my age because I started my experience when I was 8 years old, and I remember all of it!
I’m glad I started reading construction trade journals at a young age!
I’m glad I chose to be a construction business owner instead of an engineer.
I’m glad I focused on learning as well as doing as I ran my business. It allowed us to stay on the cutting edge.
I’m glad I found your audio book “The Highest Calling” so many years ago and then started reading Think Daily!
I’m glad I married my wife. I’m a much better person and much more successful because of her!
I’m glad I’m a Christian and have God to lean on. It gives me strength knowing that there is a higher power that is helping me every step of the way.

John O'Rourke

I am glad my car got hailed on it 10 years ago. For that reason, I met my boss, who helped me learn the PDR trade and gave me and my family the opportunity to grow financially and be able to spend more family time due to my job flexibility.

Franz Froehlich

I’m glad I met Larry and the Network. Thank you Larry for all the help and support. My life has changed as well. Great trip down to Baja!!!!!!
