Whatever bad things happened to you can be helpful to you or someone else.
No event is wasted.
You can experience “post-traumatic growth” if you don’t try to hide and bury what happened.
It can be your poison or your fuel.
You are not the only one. Your story can help others avoid a crisis or get through one themselves.
You are not damaged goods. You are more valuable, more experienced, stronger and wiser.
Learn. Understand. Talk. Share.
100% This is the wisdom of the universe right here. Trust in it and be open to it.
Like Kintsugi pottery mended with gold, “.. doesn’t pretend it hasn’t been broken but honors the breaking—and more so, the surviving—by highlighting those repaired seams with gold lacquer. Now the object is functional once again and dignified, not discarded. It’s stronger and even more valuable because of its reinforced, golden scars.” Great way to live! Good Morning, Larry!
Great wisdom to live by. Get up, you’re (now) stronger, get going!
There is knowledge and wisdom all around us and a neverending opportunity to learn and grow! Don’t just look to others, look within yourself and share your own wealth of knowledge with those you learn from! Don’t sell yourself or your experiences short, embrace them for what they are and what they stand for.
“You’re not broken, you’re just broken in.” –Andrew Flanagan
“It can be your poison or your fuel.” Man, did that hit hard! Perspective is powerful, isn’t it! Thank you.
“Post-traumatic growth”, I love it! That’s exactly how I see it! Whatever doesn’t kill us will make us stronger, if we let it. Some famous person said “all of life is a stage” but truly “all of life is a TEST”. We are constantly tested and if we pass we move up to the next level. If we don’t pass then we often have to take the test over. In order to have a great life we should work hard and pass the tests!
