Unless you have a clear and strong purpose, your mind wanders.
Anything will do. You waste time. You wander. You can’t decide.
You settle for very low-value activities to pass the time away.
I can tell you unless I have one or more big goals, passion projects or burning reasons, I am not the same person.
Imagine that…the same you, but completely different versions; one a bland wandering generality, and one on a mission, super focused and productive.
All because of a purpose.
What is your purpose?
Is it big enough to bring out the best in you?
Appreciate you
Hi Larry , my son Tom Hill 4 is a 40 year-old self-employed commercial electrician looking for direction, and he called me and told me about this app. Haven’t seen you in a while, but I follow your racing activities.& and knew it would be a good recommendation. Thanks hope you and your son and your wife are well.
Hope to catch up with you soon

This is sooooo darn true! Since I retired I feel a lack of purpose and it is taking a toll. Love my pets and keeping them as happy as kids, absolutely love to read, and take daily long walks, and hoped to oil continue oil painting but migraines put a stop to that (at least for now LOL), but without a support system and proper schedule, I am a different person especially after having a 24/7 job! I hope non-retires and retires alike heed this insightful post and make accommodations-.
Thank you! We are grateful to be growing nd working together.
I can relate to Candis’ comment. Retirement is certainly a different kind of lifestyle – as is being an empty nester! Part of my purpose is continuing my daily community blog in the Lower Naugatuck Valley. It’s at

I also love to read and recently joined a library book discussion and read two books that I never would have considered reading.
We’re grateful for you too buddy. 🙂
