I read recently that we struggle to see progress when we’re simply “being positive”- smiling through the dark times; versus acknowledging them and making peace with these issues/darkness. That is to say, the universe and its inhabitants can sense how true outwardness is, relative to your inward relationship. If I hate myself and talk poorly to me, but I act kindly to others and put on a good act, they will know. It will be disingenuous. That is why fake it ’til you make it has an expiry date. Funny- ‘from the inner comes the outer’ is something you’ve always said, and now I finally understand.
