Some work is social – interacting with others. Some work is transactional. These are great, and need to be done.
But redesigning your business to solve its most important problems and releasing future success is not done this way. It requires uninterrupted focused thought – studying to see it right, to learn, asking the right questions for clarity, and coming up with a strategy and a clear well structured plan.
Deep work – rare and more valuable.
Do you, can you, should you “go deep”?
Deep work is hard work, but of utmost importance! Early mornings and late evenings work well for me and also intentional solitude allows for great thinking and focus.
I’ve got one area of my business that needs this and I’m sure I have the plan straight in my head but it’s finding the extra time. Sound familiar? Anyone?
I’m a big fan of the Cal Newport book that bears this name.

I was mentored by a very wise person to schedule time away on your calendar for Summit Work, This is time away with pad and pen, with out distractions of technology to think , vision and create. So many times the answers are there but for the noise of the day we can’t hear the them. Be intentional and schedule your calendar with time to focus!
