This message really landed with me today. It was a powerful reminder that strategy is what gives our actions meaning, direction, and impact.
Recently, I had an idea to improve a process. I genuinely wanted to help, and when I asked around, no one could tell me who I was supposed to bring it to. So, I went to the head leader, thinking it was the responsible thing to do. Later, I learned I should have gone through management first. That experience showed me how easily good intentions can be misinterpreted when there isn’t a clear strategy or clear leadership alignment.
I’ve always seen things a bit differently. I’m curious, hopeful, and always looking for better ways to do things regardless the department. I’m an empty sponge ready to learn, ready to improve. But without strategic clarity, even the willingness to help can feel uncertain.
Your question “What is your strategy?” is a needed grounding moment. It reminds me that vision comes first. Alignment comes first. When strategy is clear, our ideas have a place to land, and our actions create real momentum instead of confusion is an invitation to lead with intention, think boldly, and create from a place of purpose.
