If you have a real competitive difference, do you really want people that learned things from your competitors anyway? Hire for attitude, train for skill. Surely you can find people with the right attitude. Can't you? Or is it YOUR attitude?

I read these regularly but felt compelled to comment on this one. I think this might be the wisest business advice I have heard in a long time. I am just as guilty as the next business trying to be everything to everyone and while I think diversifying is important, I also think it’s really important to remain true to your core business objectives and be the “expert” in your niche. GREAT ADVICE.
