Failure makes us smarter
If everything was easy, we wouldn't be very good. Without failure we don't reexamine anything. Screwing up is inevitable, but learn fast and make adjustments.
You are the sunlight
Sunlight can be diffused into a soft casual light, or it can be focused to start a fire. You are the sunlight.
Only You
What can YOU and only YOU do at your company today that will make a big difference in the future?
"Final Drive"
Your parents raised you. Dozens educated you. You got up each day and got yourself ready to face each year up to now. You started this business. You learned lots of things. You invested. You made mistakes, you kept going. All that to prepare you for now. Now is your…
Order from Chaos
Simplicity is complexity well done. A simple beast is easier to understand and tame. Make your business simple.
Work/Life "Balance"?
That implies you don't like work very much. Make work something you like. Then it's more like "work/life integration". At the end of the day it's all just life.
What is a company?

We attract who we are
We attract who we are, not necessarily who we want. That's why it's important to be the kind of person who attracts what it is we say we want. Change yourself, and your world changes.

Larry,
Thank you for providing the material in and teaching your Leadership Workshop. The simple ideas shared along with your personal stories and anecdotes have had a profound influence in how I think about my life and the lives of everyone I touch in all my spheres of influence.
My focus has been on pages 40-50 and I find myself using the exercises every Sunday morning to drive my highest value activities for the following week. Part of that is to remember to stay out of the way of great people doing wonderful things that I cannot or should not be doing!
I am grateful for your help!
Thank you,
Ed
