Are you a believer?

Altered States
A leader must understand how his/her mind works and be in control of it. Don't believe every thought your ego produces. Sometimes you are very present and observing reality in real time. Sometimes you are leaving here and going into the future, using your imagination and thinking and creating. A…
More things happen to entrepreneurs
When you try lots of things, and put yourself out there more than the average person, more "stuff" is going to happen to you - good things and bad things. Triumphs and tragedies. It's part of a life fully lived. Live it!
Freedom or Enslavement?
When we start a business, personal freedom is often a major component of what we want to get out of it. We are willing to work long days and weeks for a time to achieve this freedom. In the process however, many of us become captive, a slave to the…
So YOU had a productive day, did you?
If you are the leader, being productive is not about how much work YOU did; how many customers YOU talked to, and how many tasks/transactions YOU completed. It's about how many other people in your organization got better at playing a productive part in meeting the group's stated goals. Recruit,…

Have been reading all your different posts, Larry,
Got to say that you are a breath of fresh air. As an official old timer, in the 1970s and 80s (Earl Nightengale era), we had some terrific speakers and motivators. I trust you are the leader of a new generation that will fight against this malaise that has swept across America these days.
As a guy who used to also help National Speakers Association speakers market their services and speaking engagements, I can visualize you fitting in the Nido Qubein and other shakers and movers mold back in ‘that time.’ Nido used to pride himself as the speaker spending the most on each meeting planner package. He had a lot of speakers follow his business model.
Of course if you strap on the same pads and football jersey, audiences expect the same quality to come out of your mouth. I always wanted speakers to create their own style. Sure they could ‘adapt’ what qualities other speakers had–but never ‘adopt’. Sadly, some speakers just couldn’t handle playing in the A Leagues and had to drop their prices and packaging down to fit.
Thanks again for your inspiration, Larry!
Best regards,
Steve
Adopt = follow, legally take and bring it up as one’s own
Adapt = modify, become adjusted to new conditions
