Chasing the wrong rabbit

Some can say, "See, I have been working on this goal for many years and I have this big problem and that major issue, and I have tried this and that in earnest...but I still can't make it a success".  You may feel that any outisde advice to be more…

The Real Opposition

If we were objective and honest, we'd say it was ourselves.  What we weren't willing to do, what we didn't want to do and made far harder than it had to be, what we didn't learn and act on, and our own procrastination or stubbornness that we justified with some…

Don't eliminate yourself

In a competitive economy, most players eliminate themselves. They don't answer the phone, jump on opportunities, return messages fast enough, follow through, show up, deliver, present, or even care enough to. Do you, or does your team, eliminate yourselves from being the winner?

Educate or Communicate?

Educators take something simple and make it complicated. Communicators take something complicated and make it simple. Educating your prospects is important, but not at the expense of communicating. Are you getting your message through?

Success via failure

Failure is pretty much a requirement for success.  But if we make excuses and don't take action, we don't have a chance to fail - and learn - and get closer to succeeding by doing it smarter. Are you making excuses so you don't fail?

Hating your competitors

You have to love it

An entrepreneur has to love what he/she is trying to do.  That love and purpose will be needed to take you through the tough times that will come, and never be completely over. Do you love what you are doing, or who you are serving, or the mission you are…

Lollipops and Rainbows?

I wrote down this quote I heard somewhere - "Even what you are passionate about sucks 95% of the time".   When you are pushing and working hard to make things happen, and work is work and problems come, even what you love isn't fun much of the time.  …

What are you REALLY selling?

Does your sales and marketing department talk about what your product is to you?  Or does it talk about what it does for your customer?   What stories are told?  What feelings and emotions are expressed? What are you really selling?

Assume Control

As an entrepreneur, if you feel your business is "out of control", it probably is.  Out of your control. You let this happen, and if you don't like it, then take control back. Nicely, firmly, constructively and with an eye for a better tomorrow - assume control.
