It doesn't get better with time.

Change is not so much a byproduct of time as it is a byproduct of ACTION.

Circumstances do not care about how you feel, or what you say about it.  Either you show up differently or not.

You can either live in fear and avoid facing your lack of self-expansion, or you grow to the point that you show up differently to things you once feared.

Afraid of your own business?

Some leaders are afraid of their own business.  How can that be?

They are afraid of taking action in a given area because they don’t feel competent in that area, because they fear that bad may go to worse, they fear a long time employee may quit, or some other reason.

Fear leaves a leader lame to take the action that must be taken for the improvement of a business, and it remains stuck.

Are you afraid of some area of your business?

It's not "educated" or "uneducated".

It’s  “likes to read” or “doesn’t like to read”.

You got in business for ___________ .

You got in business for freedom… Didn’t you?

Financial freedom, yes, but more time freedom.

If you wake up in the morning and there is nothing you HAVE to do, that’s some real freedom. 

Of course, you do things because you want to, because it interests you, and you are learning and making a contribution.  It’s who you are.

Nobody is going to fix your life, and if you’re the owner/leader, nobody is going to fix your business – except you. 

Identify what you must start doing and the things you must stop doing to have the business you want and live the life you want.

By substitution, begin the change from where you are to where you want to be, as fast as you want to get there.  Start doing this.  Stop doing that.  Start doing this, stop doing that.

Why take on grand pursuit?

Those that don’t try much in life, don’t become much.  They never find out what they can do, and fail to develop their talents, skills and character.

When we set a big goal, we THINK that it’s because we want to accomplish it.  But after achieving it and setting new goals and hitting them over and over, we realize it wasn’t for their accomplishment.  It was to discover our higher ourselves.

What do your customers expect?  What do they hope for when buying from someone like you?

How can you exceed that line?

Make a plan, commit the resources, and train your team incredibly well to execute.

Opponents – External and Internal

We all have competitors.  When we stagnate, we complain about them as they are eating our lunch.  But the real opponent is us.  Continually expanding ourselves is not easy because we have to let go of the old us (a form of self-destruction), and bring forth a new us that is inexperienced at operating at a new higher level.

In the end, it’s not about competitors.

It’s about becoming the best you, and you are the only opponent to that happening.
