A bad culture needs rules

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

If you build a great culture with your team, where people trust and respect each other, are helpful, are led well, etc. then you don’t need lots of rules and policies and policing.

Great culture is far better than great rules.

Jeff Russell

The last sentence does it for me! Whenever we have a visitor in our office in Indy, we often hear about how nice the people in our office is, we hear the same thing about our sales team and our installers. Having a great culture where people believe in the company and each other makes it easier to build and manage a business. To me, Culture is a direct reflection on leadership building a solid long term standing business that will stand the test of time.

Glenn Frank

This is so true. I can speak from experience. Used to have some folks that I did not realize how much they were contributing to turn over, bad culture, requiring new policies and rules to be made until once they were gone and everything change for the better!

Brian Lovell

Such a great message Larry! Lasting positive culture is everything. Leaders have to know what their culture is and how it impacts their team(s). I know from experience that culture is going to grow and spread. If it’s good culture, your company grows and thrives. If it’s bad culture, the toxicity grows and your company dies.
