Why do you do it?

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

The man who does his work solely to look good to others, for their approval and their admiration, has a motivation that betrays himself – a big hole in his character that gets so large it becomes all there is – a hollow soul.

The man who does it for himself; for his personal satisfaction; to know himself and his growing competence; to discover all that he is and to reveal it to himself, is the fully actualized man – who does it for the approval of his own soul.

Why do you do it?

Andrea

I really like what you wrote except I was not so conscious about why I wanted to push myself to keep fighting the battle of life. It requires a level of awareness and a lot of staring at the sky and stars to understand what is going on, and even then there is a rhythm to the madness and a lot of small individual steps and actions involved. When I was down, looking for answers, reading others encouragement and explanations posted on the web helped a lot, but not until my own puzzle started making more sense I understood why and what I was doing.
