Though it’s usually the other way around, and as strange as it may be, some people support you until you start winning. Then they don’t like you anymore.
This has everything to do with them, and nothing to do with you – unless you have “big head” syndrome (consider you might).
Be graceful and kind, keep winning, and hang around people who support you.

It is interesting to watch people watching you and acting in the way they want you to act only to find out why they were watching and what were the intentions. Giving away information is a voluntary act, especially to people you recently met. This behavior it can only be carried out for so long because everyone has a toleration limit and once that is met the unguarded true self surfaces.
This self is not always preatty but learning to love and accept it is a beautiful process even if it is painful at moments. Each person we get in contact with directly or indirectly affects our whole being and energy because we are all connected.
