Stay teachable after you succeed

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

The moment you believe you have nothing left to learn is the moment your experience starts becoming obsolete.

They say nothing creates failure like success.  Just because you succeeded at one thing, at one time, under certain conditions, doesn’t mean it means much in another set of circumstances.  Thinking it does is a big problem.

Success can create dangerous certainty.  Keep asking questions, listening to younger people, studying new methods, and reconsidering assumptions.  Your experience is most valuable when you remain curious.

Good morning Larry,
I think the the knowledge transfer is a 2 way street, younger less experienced people should be talking to older more experienced people to learn how things used to be, how things have changed over time and why.
