The 80’s were a blast !
Work smarter, not harder.
The 80s is the best decade – no doubt about this.
I worked for a tech company in Dallas many years ago and at our annual Sales Kick-off the founder of the company would always kick-off the training by saying “I first want to thank your families for the time you spend away from them to build this company into something special and successful. Second, I want all of you to work smarter, not harder, so you can spend time with your families.” It always felt genuine when he said that and people really liked working for him. We took the company public, the stock rose to over 200, then split, and went up to over 200 again. A lot of people made money. Lastly, the 80’s was hands down my favorite decade.
