“I get to”

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Instead of dreading all the things you HAVE TO do today, say “I GET TO” do these things.

Stop saying “I have to”.

Say “I get to”.

Benjamin Laurent

Perception will influence attitude, attitude will influence leadership, leadership will influence others.

It’s amazing how having a different perspective can change the way you think and approach your days, and challenges. Thanks for sharing this.

We used to tell high-risk clients at a former job that they “got to” see a dietitian, instead of “you have to”. It sounds more inviting, positive, and hopefully the client might realize it was an opportunity, not a punishment, to learn.
