Once a leader or a manager loses the respect and listening of their team members, it’s over.

No one can save them once their team decides they can’t be trusted, they are only out for themselves, the leader doesn’t like me, or they don’t know what they are doing.

Their people will tune out and leave.

Hopefully, that is not you.

This brings up an important point. If we as the leader and owner are also the direct managers of the team then things get really complicated when respect is lost. However, if we insulate ourselves from the situation by having managers in between us and the team then we can swoop in and “save the day”, right the ship, help rebuild the respect (if possible) and continue on without losing valuable team members.
