When trying to influence others, know that people resist when they feel forced.
Don’t say “You better do this”.
Instead, encourage them.
Do say “This is your choice”.
Empowerment opens the door to change.

I like to ask, what would you do in this situation if it were you making the decision? Empowering others takes a lot off of a person’s plate. Often times I feel like my managers are way better at their jobs than I ever was.
