Winter

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

When it’s winter, cold and icy, and the drifting snow is piled to your knees in seemingly unending waves, and the cold penetrates your soul, and every direction you look the bleak landscape rejects you – it’s hard to imagine summer and the warmth of the sun dusting your world with life and encouragement to go on.

Think.  Be sure you’re trekking in the right direction – and trek.

Do your work.

Andrea

We do not have snow around here but it is winter. The trek is clear and the wolves I do my best to keep away. I need sleep, I need to write and to write some more. I can not think because I absorbed too much from the surrounding people so I am going to close my eyes to process and to wake up to a fresh new day tomorrow.

Andrea

It is morning and I forgot to admit that sometimes I pet the wolves only because everyone and everything needs to feel loved. It is challenging to do it when I am tired, so I hide to protect both parties because if the wolves would approach when I am in this kind of faul mood they would definitelly end up as a rug by the feet of my bed.

Andrea

But some wolves are very smart and they know this.

Andrea

It is nice to have them around to keep me company.

Andrea

Or warm my feet when they get cold.
