You can’t motivate people. You can only find people who are self-motivated (most people have some motivation), and don’t demotivate them when they come in the door by treating them like numbers, thieves, dummies to be managed with over control and mistrust, or lack of any communication or training.
Is your company an outlet for people’s inherent motivations to be pursued?

Some people go above and beyond to help others. Often these people do not have a family or children and they apply themselves 100% to their work. It is annoying to see and know that the others are testing and intentionally sabotaging the work methods even if it is only done to set a more unified realistic healthy schedule and environment for all.
But this never stopped me from trying to do my best, I find it useful to acknowledge my own feelings and to discuss my views and problems (if any) with the respective individual and based on their attitude and receptiveness we can either learn to work together or we can try to kill each other in the process.
