Paradoxes of life

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Many books and good ideas conflict with each other.

Stay with it and don’t quit, but don’t spend your life doing things you don’t like.  Work hard, but don’t work too much.  Save your money,  have fun.  Save the world, but only try to control the controllables.

What’s true?   You have to choose.  There is no right or wrong.  It’s either useful of not useful to your current goals.

Follow what is important to you.

Many years ago I read a book called “The Three Boxes of Life”- which advocates what you are talking about. Too much effort and time put into any one area of your life is not a good thing, although necessary at certain times. But be sure to pay attention to other areas as soon as you can.Best of all- find an work endeavor that you love- then work never seems hard- just fun!
